Literacy Coalition of Central Texas

About Us
Founded in 2000, the Literacy Coalition is a nonprofit organization that strengthens a network of over 70 programs in Central Texas that provide instruction in adult and children’s literacy, workforce literacy, English as a Second Language, financial literacy, health literacy, and more. We are dedicated to supporting and expanding literacy services so that businesses can hire, people can work, and families can thrive in the 5-county region including Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson Counties. Our vision is to create a Central Texas community that is 100% literate, employable, and engaged.

Our Mission
The Literacy Coalition of Central Texas strengthens Central Texas literacy education providers through advocacy, research, training and resource development.

Our Pledge

At Alt Creative, we give a total of 10% of the final bill of all custom designed web projects to charitable causes. 5% will go to the charity of our clients choosing and the other 5% will go to one of our preferred charities. And that’s not all we are doing for the community and environment.

Community Impact

To date, we’ve given $3,485.25 to charitable causes in Central Texas and we've empowered businesses in the community to give $1,636.13 in conjunction with Alt Creative Projects. In addition, we’ve planted 113 trees so far this year in conjunction with our maintenance and social media programs.
